What You’ll Be Doing as a School Administrator:
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and care
- Keep school policies up to date, ensuring full compliance
- Maintain accurate, secure records and filing systems
- Support the Senior Leadership Team and wider staff with high-level admin tasks
- Be the friendly face (and voice) answering phone and email enquiries
- Schedule and minute meetings, prepare reports, surveys, and other documentation
- Assist with daily operations, helping the admin team meet tight deadlines
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Communicates clearly and professionally—both in person and in writing
- Has a warm, positive, and approachable manner (with a sense of humour too!)
- Can juggle tasks, prioritise well, and stay calm under pressure
- Works confidently on their own but loves being part of a team
- Has great IT skills—especially in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Has experience in an admin role and is ready to hit the ground running
- Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
- Can build great rapport with children of all ages and abilities
About the Academy:
The school supports pupils aged 4 to 19 with complex learning needs, providing a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. They have a dedicated team of highly trained staff who work closely with each child’s strengths, setting high but achievable expectations. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and benefit from a collaborative approach involving therapists, medical professionals, and specialist teachers. A range of on-site therapies, including speech and language, occupational, and physiotherapy, is available to support pupils' individual needs. Personal development—spiritual, moral, social, and cultural—is central to their ethos, helping students gain independence and prepare for adult life. A full-time nurse is also based on site to support pupil well-being.
