Hiring Teaching Assistant – SEN School – Winchester

Start Date: September 2025

Salary: £82.80 to £100 per day

A forward-thinking, inclusive SEN school in Winchester is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with additional needs in a well-resourced and supportive setting.

About the Teaching Assistant Role:
You'll work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. The school also has a specialist provision on site for children with high needs ASD, where support is tailored and structured. You'll work closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to help pupils access learning and feel included.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

  •  Supporting children with SEN needs in the classroom
  •  Assisting class teachers with planning and adapting lessons
  • Helping children engage in learning and reach their full potential
  • Providing personalised interventions and behavioural support
