Salary Range: £160 to £250 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:
As an SEMH Teacher, you will work with students who experience social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, providing them with an inclusive, tailored education that fosters personal growth and academic achievement. Your creativity, patience, and understanding will help pupils build confidence and develop lifelong skills.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement tailored support programmes for pupils with special needs
  • Employ diverse teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles
  • Encourage positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional resilience
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external specialists
  • Track student progress and adjust approaches as needed
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom setting

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs in specialist or mainstream settings.
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and trauma-informed practices.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to suit diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and empathetic approach.
  • A deep commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
