Salary Range: £160 to £250 per day (depending on experience)

Role Overview:

As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a highly personalised and inclusive curriculum designed to meet the needs of students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges. You will inspire and motivate pupils to re-engage with learning, develop essential life skills, and foster a strong sense of self-worth and independence.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver structured programmes for pupils with special educational needs
  • Use a variety of teaching techniques to engage learners of all abilities
  • Promote social skills, resilience, and positive behaviour management
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to optimise support
  • Monitor progress and adapt strategies to ensure success
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching or supporting students with SEMH needs within a specialist or mainstream setting.
  • Strong knowledge of strategies to support social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that meets diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and empathetic approach.
  • Resilience, flexibility, and an unwavering commitment to student welfare.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
