Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Easter Term 2025

Are you a dedicated Science Teacher with a passion for sparking curiosity and enthusiasm in young learners? GSL Education is currently seeking a committed and inspiring Science Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Sheffield from Easter Term 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to make a difference and help students achieve academic success in Science.
About the Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring students of all abilities are supported and challenged. You will foster a love of learning, monitor student progress, and work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to raise attainment.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics to GCSE level

Deliver creative and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum

Use a range of teaching strategies to support pupils with varying abilities

Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations

Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

Specialism in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)

Experience teaching Science at secondary level (GCSE experience desirable)

Excellent subject knowledge and classroom presence

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

A 10-year career history with references covering the past two years, including your most recent role
