Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role this September? We are seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged child with additional needs within a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Epping.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide consistent and tailored support, helping the child access learning and reach their full potential socially, emotionally, and academically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 support to a child with SEN throughout the school day

  • Helping the child to engage with class activities and achieve their personalised targets

  • Delivering individual interventions as directed by the class teacher and SENCO

  • Promoting confidence, independence, and inclusion within the classroom

  • Supporting with social interaction, communication, and emotional regulation

  • Liaising effectively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals

  • Assisting with any personal care needs if required

About You:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or childcare setting

  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships

  • Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting children with additional needs

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
