Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour

GSL Education are currently looking for a Disability Swim Teaching Assistant to join a local school based in Bournemouth!

About the Role:
The school  is looking for a caring, enthusiastic Disability Swim Teaching Assistant to support children and adults with disabilities in the pool. Working alongside qualified instructors, you’ll help build water confidence, develop swimming skills, and ensure every session is safe and fun.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the delivery of engaging and adaptive swimming sessions
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support in the water
  • Encourage and motivate participants of all abilities
  • Ensure the safety, dignity, and comfort of swimmers at all times
  • Help create an inclusive and welcoming environment

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in working with people with disabilities
  • Confident in the water
  • Friendly, reliable, and supportive nature
  • Previous experience in a support, teaching, or care role is a plus
  • Swim England Helper or Teaching Assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
