Salary: £82.80 to £100 per day

GSL Education are working with a welcoming school in Basingstoke that’s expanding its SEN provision – and they are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join them from September 2025. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children or young people with Autism, ideally within a school or educational setting. They should be calm, patient, and consistent, with a strong understanding of ASD and how to support children with communication and interaction challenges. A team player by nature, they will be confident, compassionate, and proactive, with a genuine passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs. Using a range of communication strategies with patience and empathy, they will be committed to creating an inclusive and encouraging school experience for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting students with Autism (ASC)
- Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to tailor learning and behaviour strategies
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to aid engagement and progress
- Helping to create a calm, positive, and structured learning environment

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
