Location: Nottingham
Rate: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural support. You’ll collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to create a structured and supportive learning environment, helping students develop positive behaviours and emotional resilience. Use creative and proactive strategies to engage students and promote a culture of respect and achievement.
Key Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (TA)
- Support students with behavioural needs in both classroom and one-on-one settings.
- Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs).
- Encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation through structured activities.
- Monitor and record student behaviour, progress, and engagement.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
- Provide a safe and inclusive environment where all students feel respected and supported.
Requirements of Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (TA)
- Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges.
- Understanding of behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
