Job Title: General Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day‑to‑day/Long‑term, Part‑time/Full‑time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated General Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Nottingham. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and eager to make a difference in pupils’ academic and personal growth.
Role Overview:
As a General TA, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in and outside of the classroom. You will assist with lesson delivery, provide individual and group support, and contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to reinforce learning.
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Assist in preparing resources and maintaining classroom organisation.
- Encourage pupil participation, independence, and well-being.
Requirements for General TA:
- Experience working in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
- Passion for education and helping young people succeed.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
