GSL Education is proud to be partnering with a large and inclusive primary school in West Hull as they develop an exciting new EYFS/SEN provision for their youngest learners.
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team full-time from September on a fixed-term contract for the 2025/26 academic year. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a developing, child-centred setting where your contribution will have a lasting impact on both the provision and the children within it.
Your Role:
-
Provide high-quality support within EYFS or nursery classrooms, helping to foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
-
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement targeted interventions and personalised learning plans.
-
Support the emotional, social, and academic development of children with a range of SEN needs.
-
Encourage positive interactions, independence, and engagement in learning through a play-based, nurturing approach.
-
Monitor progress and contribute to regular reviews and planning meetings for children receiving additional support.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
A Level 2 (or higher) Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
-
Experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting.
-
Proven experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in an early years environment.
-
A compassionate, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting young children.
-
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
-
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a committed school community during an exciting period of development. You’ll be supported by a leadership team who are passionate about inclusion, and you’ll have the chance to shape the direction of this brand-new provision from the ground up.
