Job Title: SEMH/SEND Teacher

Salary: £160 – £220 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently looking to appoint a dedicated SEMH/SEND Teacher to work in an inclusive school in Chapel-En-Le-Frith. Role Overview:
As a SEMH/SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH and SEND profiles. You’ll work collaboratively with support staff and specialists to implement individual learning plans and promote both academic and emotional progress.
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons suited to pupils with SEMH and SEND.
- Foster a calm, safe, and structured learning environment.
- Manage challenging behaviours effectively and with empathy.
- Work closely with support staff and external professionals.
- Monitor and track pupil progress against personalised goals.
- Contribute to wider school initiatives and therapeutic practices.
Requirements for SEMH/SEND Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience in an SEMH, PRU, or SEND school is essential.
- A nurturing, patient, and resilient attitude.
- Strong behaviour management skills and an understanding of trauma-informed practices.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
