Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Pevensey
Salary: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Long-term / Day-to-day

GSL Education are currently recruiting a committed SEN TA to work within schools in Pevensey. This is an excellent opportunity to support children with special educational needs and contribute meaningfully to their academic and personal development.
Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities and can access the curriculum effectively.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with diverse SEN requirements, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and behaviour management.
- Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCOs.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or working with children with additional needs is desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude are essential.
- Ability to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs.
- Relevant qualifications are advantageous but not required.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
