Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Polegate
Salary: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant seeking a new opportunity in a supportive and engaging school environment?
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated TA to join primary and secondary school in Polegate from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s academic and personal growth.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning and development. You’ll assist with classroom management, deliver targeted support to individuals or small groups, and help create an inclusive learning environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support classroom activities, ensuring all pupils can participate and progress.
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and SENCOs to implement learning plans.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist with planning and preparing classroom materials.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a TA or in a similar role is desirable.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children.
- Ability to adapt and work effectively in a team setting.
- A relevant TA qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
