Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Hailsham
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Hailsham from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping children with additional learning needs thrive both academically and socially.
Role Overview:
As a LSA , you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored academic and emotional support to pupils with a range of learning needs. Your role will be key in fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with special educational needs both in and out of the classroom.
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Assist in preparing learning materials and classroom resources.
- Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning space for all students.
- Support the development of pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
Requirements for LSA:
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable.
- A caring and supportive nature with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development are advantageous.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
