Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Bexhill
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding role supporting students with special educational needs?
GSL Education are currently recruiting a committed SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming school in Bexhill from September 2025. This is a fulfilling opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who require additional support in their learning journey.
Role Overview:
As an SEN TA, you will work closely with pupils with diverse needs, offering both in-class and individualised support. You will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive learning environment that nurtures progress, confidence, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the learning and development of students with special educational needs.
- Work one-to-one or in small groups to deliver tailored interventions.
- Assist the class teacher in creating inclusive lesson activities.
- Help implement behaviour management strategies effectively.
- Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social interactions.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.
- A calm, empathetic, and patient approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are advantageous.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
