An inclusive and welcoming primary school in Chigwell is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September. You will work alongside experienced teachers to support children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with a focus on helping pupils who require additional support to access learning confidently.

We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant (desired).

  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

  • Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

  • Flexibility and resilience to adapt to the needs of different children and year groups.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils who require additional help with their learning.

  • Assisting class teachers in delivering engaging lessons and differentiated activities.

  • Supporting children with SEND and helping them to access the curriculum confidently.

  • Encouraging children’s social skills, independence, and confidence in the classroom.

  • Helping to prepare learning materials and maintain a positive, organised classroom environment.

  • Upholding the school’s safeguarding policies and ensuring the wellbeing of all pupils in your care.
