We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join a friendly and nurturing primary school in Maldon. You will be working within their EYFS setting, supporting children aged 3-5 in their crucial early development.

We Are Looking For:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (essential).

  • Previous experience working in a nursery or school-based EYFS setting.

  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.

  • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to learning.

  • Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children’s learning and development through planned activities and play-based learning.

  • Observing and assessing children’s progress, contributing to their learning journeys.

  • Providing personal care and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in the setting.

  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher and Early Years team to create an engaging and inclusive environment.

  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers to support children’s learning at home and in school.
