Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)

Salary: £100 – £110 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join schools in Chesterfield. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on pupils’ academic and personal development while working alongside a passionate and supportive team.
Role Overview:
As a Primary TA, you will assist in the delivery of engaging lessons, support classroom activities, and work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils to aid their learning journey. You’ll help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support class teachers in delivering creative and well-structured lessons.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide targeted support.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and routines in line with school policies.
- Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources.
- Encourage and promote pupil engagement and participation.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting is advantageous.
- A calm, patient, and positive approach to working with children.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2 or 3 TA certificate) are desirable.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
