Job Title: Primary Teacher – Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic Primary Teacher ready to shape the early educational experiences of young learners?

GSL Education are looking for a passionate Primary Teacher to join an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting in a welcoming school in Nottingham. This September-start opportunity is perfect for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who have a strong interest in early childhood development.

Role Overview:
As a Primary Teacher in EYFS, you will focus on creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment that encourages curiosity and fosters the personal and academic development of children aged 3–5. You will be instrumental in laying the foundation for lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative, play-based learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Promote emotional well-being, communication, and early literacy and numeracy.
  • Create a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and carers to ensure each child’s individual needs are met.
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress through observation and documentation.

Requirements for Primary Teacher – EYFS:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism or experience in EYFS is desirable.
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.
  • A child-centred approach, creativity, and patience.
  • An updated CV (covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
