Job Title: Primary Teacher – KS2
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a passionate and skilled Primary Teacher to work in a forward-thinking school in Nottingham, delivering KS2 curriculum content to pupils who are eager to learn and grow. This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Role Overview:
As a Primary KS2 Teacher, you will be expected to deliver well-structured, engaging lessons across core and foundation subjects, fostering academic progress and personal development. You will play an important role in preparing pupils for transition to secondary education, while nurturing confidence and independent thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons in accordance with the national KS2 curriculum.
  • Use assessment strategies to inform teaching and adapt to pupil needs.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage active participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and colleagues.

Requirements for Primary Teacher – KS2:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2 or readiness to do so as an ECT.
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
  • Clear understanding of child development and educational best practices.
  • A fully updated CV (covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
