Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £86 – £100 per day
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting reliable Primary TA to work across schools in Sheffield. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential through support and encouragement.
Role Overview:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in the delivery of lessons and provide additional help to pupils who need it. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment and assisting with the day-to-day running of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
- Support individual pupils or small groups with their learning needs.
- Help manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies.
- Encourage positive attitudes and participation in class.
- Promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all pupils.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Previous experience supporting children in an educational setting is desirable.
- A warm, patient, and reliable approach to working with children.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Have an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) and an up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps explained.
