Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school setting in Doncaster. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a passion for helping pupils with special educational needs thrive in their learning environment.
Role Overview:
As a committed SEN TA, you will support pupils with varying learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. You will work closely with teaching staff to implement tailored support plans and encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
- Work collaboratively with staff to promote wellbeing and academic progress.
Requirements for SEN TA:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to attend relevant training and CPD.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one and an up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with any gaps explained).
