Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking to appoint a committed and nurturing SEN TA to support students with special educational needs in a welcoming school based in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.
Role Overview:
As a SEN TA, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide targeted support for pupils with diverse learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the learning and emotional development of pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Encourage independence and build confidence in learners.
- Liaise with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to ensure a consistent approach.
- Create a safe, engaging and supportive classroom environment.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working in a school or SEN school is desirable.
- A patient, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
- An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
