KS2 Primary Teacher - Bournemouth

Ready to lead and inspire a Year 6 class in a supportive environment?

An inclusive and forward-thinking Business Mainstream Primary School in Bournemouth is seeking a committed and enthusiastic full-time KS2 Teacher to take charge of a Year 6 class from September 2025. This exciting opportunity is open to both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators. The school warmly offers tours before interviews, giving you the chance to see the team and pupils in action.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, effective lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum
  • Support academic and personal growth as pupils prepare for end-of-year assessments and secondary school.
  • Track pupil progress and provide feedback that motivates and supports learners.
  • Establish a classroom culture built on respect, curiosity, and engagement.
  • Work closely with colleagues, leadership, and parents to ensure each pupil reaches their full potential.
  • Engage in wider school life, including events, meetings, and professional development.

Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Confidence in teaching the Year 6 curriculum and managing end-of-KS2 expectations.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A proactive, nurturing approach to supporting all learners.
  • Open to early-career teachers and experienced classroom practitioners.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
