Salary: £120-£180 per day (Depending on experience)

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a rich, engaging, and inclusive curriculum that supports children in building strong foundations for future learning.

Position Summary:

As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for students. You will plan and deliver well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum, ensuring that all students are encouraged to achieve their full potential. You will also work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support each child’s academic and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities for the Role of KS1 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that follow the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the different learning needs and abilities of students in Year 1 and Year 2.
  • Promote good behaviour and routines using consistent, age-appropriate behaviour management strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through observations, marking, and assessment tools such as phonics screening and teacher assessments.
  • Keep accurate records and report on children’s development to parents, carers, and school leaders.

Role Requirements—KS1 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a passion for teaching and learning are also encouraged to apply.
  • Previous UK experience teaching within a Key Stage 1 classroom is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
