SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Support Role – Hailsham
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? GSL Education is currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Hailsham, where you’ll provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with special educational needs.

Salary: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Long-Term, Full-Time
About the Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils in a supportive primary setting. You’ll help create a stable, encouraging environment where children feel safe, understood, and empowered to progress both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to children with additional needs (SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, etc.)

Assist with planning and delivering learning activities

Promote emotional regulation, independence, and confidence

Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs
-
Monitor progress and share feedback with the wider team
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Previous experience supporting SEN pupils in a school or similar setting

A calm, patient, and positive attitude
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A good understanding of behaviour management and safeguarding
-
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
