KS1 Teacher
Location: Grimsby
Salary: £120 - £180 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are delighted to be recruiting KS1 Teachers to work in a variety of welcoming primary schools across Grimsby. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to KS1 pupils, creating a safe and engaging environment where every child feels encouraged to reach their full potential. Your positive attitude and ability to adapt your teaching will play a crucial part in children’s early development and academic foundations.

KS1 Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Track and assess pupil progress, identifying areas for development.
  • Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and colleagues to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Create and maintain an engaging classroom environment.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Contribute to school events, planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote student welfare at all times

Skills & Requirements for Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE
  • Recent experience teaching within a KS1 setting (placements considered for ECTs)
  • Good understanding of the national curriculum and phonics frameworks
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to teaching
  • Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply.
