GSL Education are recruiting for an enthusiastic Level 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming school in Scunthorpe. About Your Role as a Level 1 TA:
In this role of a Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers to deliver high-quality education to students. Your focus will be to assist with classroom activities, help individual students and small groups with their learning, and contribute to creating a safe and positive learning environment. Your contribution will help foster a nurturing atmosphere where every child feels valued and motivated to achieve their best.
Level 1 TA Responsibilities:
- Provide support to individuals and small groups, facilitating their academic progress and personal development.
- Implement and uphold the school’s behaviour management policies to maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
- Prepare, organise, and maintain educational resources and classroom displays to enhance the learning experience.
- Support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), adapting approaches as directed by teaching staff.
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour, communicating observations effectively to relevant staff.
Candidate Requirements for the role Level 1 TA:
- A recognised Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience working in a primary education or childcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging constructively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain attention to detail.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a thorough understanding of relevant policies and legislation.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
