  • Help manage student behaviour in a calm, positive, and consistent manner.
  • Work across different year groups and adapt quickly to new classroom settings.
  • Monitor and record student progress, sharing updates with teachers when required.
  • Follow all school policies, including those related to behaviour, equality, and safeguarding.

Requirements for the HLTA role:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent recognised training is preferred.
  • Previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar classroom-based role is desirable.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking to gain additional classroom experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Good knowledge of the UK school curriculum and how to support effective teaching and learning.
  • Confident in leading lessons and supporting the whole class when needed.

  • Organised, reliable, and able to use initiative when supporting students and staff.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one).

Why Join GSL Education?
