Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Grimsby
Salary: £88.94 - £104.84 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

If so, GSL Education are currently seeking Level 2 Teaching Assistants to work in a range of friendly and inclusive primary schools in Grimsby. As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Level 2 TA), you will be a key support to teachers and pupils in the classroom. You will help create a positive and stimulating learning environment, providing academic, emotional, and social support to pupils of varying abilities.
Key Responsibilities of a Level 2 TA:
- Support teaching and learning activities under the direction of the class teacher
- Work with individuals and small groups of children to reinforce learning
- Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement during lessons
- Help monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records
- Provide supervision during break and lunch times when needed
- Support pupils with basic pastoral care and emotional needs
- Assist with phonics, reading, numeracy, and literacy activities
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other support colleagues
- Promote inclusion and ensure equal access to learning for all pupils
What we need from a Level 2 Teaching Assistant:
- A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A patient, caring, and adaptable nature
- A willingness to take initiative and work as part of a team
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
- Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply)
