Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £95 - £120 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are actively recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to work within an inclusive and supportive school setting in Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have a background in sports, coaching, or physical education and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.
Role Overview:
As a Sports Coach, you will be an essential part of the school community, delivering engaging physical activities and supporting students in developing positive behaviours, social skills, and physical fitness. Your role will contribute significantly to creating a culture of wellbeing and resilience across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead high-quality sports and physical education sessions across a range of key stages.
- Work alongside PE teachers and SEND staff to provide inclusive and adaptive physical activities.
- Promote positive behaviour, teamwork, and leadership through sport.
- Coordinate and supervise lunchtime and after-school sports clubs and school teams.
- Ensure a safe and encouraging environment that aligns with safeguarding and school policies.
- Track student engagement and support progress through motivational coaching.
Job Requirements:
- A recognised qualification in Sports Coaching, PE, or related fields (Level 2 or above preferred).
- Experience coaching or working with young people in school or community settings.
- Understanding of the UK national curriculum in PE and child development.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to manage groups confidently.
- A genuine passion for student wellbeing and a positive, proactive approach.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
