Full-Time Dance Teacher – Secondary School in Totton, Hampshire
GSL Education are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Totton, Hampshire. This full-time position is set to commence in September 2025. The school warmly welcomes applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.
Responsibilities of the Dance Teacher:
- Deliver dynamic and inspiring Dance lessons across Key Stages.
- Encourage creativity, discipline, and self-expression through movement and choreography.
- Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and tailored support.
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and school performances.
- Stay up to date with curriculum developments and innovative teaching strategies in Dance education.
- Support student well-being and personal growth through the performing arts.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong passion for Dance education and performance.
- Experience teaching Dance at the secondary level (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
- Ability to design and deliver creative, student-centered lessons.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
