Salary: £94 – £115 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will ensure students remain on task, manage behaviour effectively, and support learning in a structured and positive environment. This role is ideal for individuals considering a career in teaching or those looking to make a positive contribution in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring a productive learning environment.

Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects.

Maintain classroom discipline and follow the school’s behaviour policies.

Provide support and encouragement to pupils throughout the lesson.

Report on student engagement and behaviour to relevant teaching staff.

Assist in setting up classroom resources where required.
Requirements:

Experience in a similar role within a school setting is desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and engaging young learners.

A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work.

A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
