GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Key Stage Two (KS2) Teacher to work in a welcoming school in Spalding. Role Overview:
As a KS2 Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students across Years 3 to 6, helping them build a strong foundation in core subjects and essential life skills. You will create a well-structured, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports students’ academic and personal growth. In this role, you will guide students through an important stage of their education, preparing them for their transition to secondary school with confidence and resilience.
Main Responsibilities of a KS2 Teacher:
- Develop and deliver well-planned lessons that cater to the learning needs and abilities of all students within Key Stage 2.
- Create a classroom atmosphere that motivates students, promotes engagement, and supports positive behaviour.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to help learners improve.
- Differentiate teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with additional learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements and contribute to regular reports and parent consultations.
- Ensure the safeguarding, health, and wellbeing of all students in line with school policies and statutory guidance.
Requirements of the role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is essential.
- Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also welcomed.
- Experience teaching KS2 students, ideally in a UK primary school setting, is desirable.
- Good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and learning objectives.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A good sense of organisation and the ability to adapt plans as needed.
- A positive attitude and a genuine desire to support children’s development.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
