Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Wakefield
Salary Range: £160-£250 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:
Working within a collaborative SEN department, you’ll play a pivotal role in fostering an environment where pupils feel safe, confident, and empowered to achieve their goals both academically and socially.
Your Role Will Include:
- Deliver personalised teaching to pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans in line with individual learning plans and EHCPs.
- Monitor progress and implement appropriate interventions when needed.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes emotional regulation and resilience.
- Liaise closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
- Manage teaching assistants effectively to ensure coordinated classroom support.
- Contribute to the development of SEN strategies and resources across the school.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience teaching in an SEN or inclusive setting.
- Strong knowledge of a range of special educational needs and associated strategies.
- Patience, creativity, and flexibility in adapting teaching styles.
- Skilled in behaviour management with a compassionate approach.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the UK curriculum and EHCP implementation.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
