Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Salary: Up to £125 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a motivated HLTA to join a welcoming school in Sheffield. This is a rewarding role for an experienced professional eager to take a proactive approach to classroom support and pupil development.
Role Overview:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will take on a key role in planning and delivering lessons, leading small groups and providing cover for teachers when needed. Your input will support the academic progress and well-being of students while working collaboratively with staff to uphold high standards of teaching and learning.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons or lead interventions under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Support pupils across a range of abilities, adapting tasks to meet their needs.
- Work 1:1 and with small groups to help improve attainment.
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Contribute to planning, marking and assessment where appropriate.
Requirements for Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):
- Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent.
- Have previous experience working in a school environment.
- Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Be passionate about inclusive education and supporting all learners.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
