Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Dinnington
Salary: £95 - £120 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediately
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time
GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentors to support students at multiple schools in Dinnington. This role offers the opportunity to make a difference across various educational settings, fostering positive behaviour and emotional growth.
About the Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will deliver tailored behavioural support to pupils in need. You’ll work closely with school staff to promote a safe, inclusive environment where students can develop confidence and resilience.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional challenges, helping them develop coping skills
- Contributing to the delivery of individual behaviour and support plans
- Building trusting, positive relationships to motivate pupils
- Assisting during lessons, breaks, and extracurricular activities to ensure a positive atmosphere
- Communicating with staff and parents to provide consistent support for pupils
- Helping students enhance social skills and emotional regulation
- Upholding safeguarding policies and promoting inclusive practices
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people in schools, youth clubs, or community settings
- Demonstrable patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Skill in de-escalating challenging behaviour
- A genuine passion for supporting student wellbeing and development
- An enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- Qualifications or experience in mentoring, youth work, or education is desirable
