Salary: £95 - £120 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are delighted to be recruiting for a proactive and enthusiastic PE Support for the Physical Education department within a vibrant and inclusive school in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a sporting or coaching background to help young people develop their fitness, teamwork, and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
Role Overview:
As a PE Support, you will play an important role in the smooth delivery of physical education across all year groups. You'll assist with lesson planning, set up equipment, encourage pupil participation, and support students in developing key physical and social skills. The role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about health and wellbeing and interested in contributing to a school’s active culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist PE teachers with the setup and delivery of engaging and inclusive sports lessons.
- Support students during physical activities, ensuring safety and active participation.
- Facilitate small group activities and provide targeted support for pupils with varying abilities.
- Manage and maintain sports equipment and resources.
- Help plan, supervise, and promote extracurricular sports events and after-school clubs.
- Encourage a positive attitude toward fitness, discipline, and healthy lifestyles.
- Observe and report pupil progress, engagement, or behavioural issues to senior staff.
Job Requirements:
- A background in sports coaching, physical education, or personal training is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or sports setting.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with a passion for youth development.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
