Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield
Salary Range: £95 -£120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are actively recruiting for caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a nurturing and inclusive school in Sheffield. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and are committed to helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Role Overview
You will be working closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals to support children with a range of additional needs including autism, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges. The role will involve both in-class assistance and one-to-one or small group interventions to ensure every pupil reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN, adapting learning materials to suit individual needs.
- Assist in the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour support strategies.
- Encourage independence, self-esteem, and emotional resilience in pupils.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and parents.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times.
Job Requirements:
- Have prior experience working with children or young people with SEN in a school or care setting.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a nurturing attitude.
- Hold a relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2/3 or similar (desirable but not essential).
- Be confident supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or within small groups.
- A proactive and professional approach with a genuine passion for supporting children.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
