Salary: £100 – £200 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently looking to recruit a dedicated Cover Supervisor to work in a vibrant and supportive school in Braintree. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a future in teaching or looking for flexible classroom-based experience.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will step into classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning. You’ll manage classroom behaviour, deliver pre-prepared work, and support pupils in maintaining focus and productivity.
Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise lessons across a range of subjects, following teacher-set plans.
- Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Manage pupil behaviour effectively and encourage positive engagement.
- Provide feedback to teachers regarding class performance.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
- Support the wider school team with additional duties when required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
- Strong classroom presence and confident behaviour management skills.
- Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach to working with different year groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A genuine interest in education and supporting students.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
