Salary: £130 – £250 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently looking to recruit a dynamic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a welcoming school in Colchester. Whether you’re an experienced educator or an ECT with a strong sporting background, this is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students through physical education.

Role Overview:
As a Physical Education (PE) Teacher, you will deliver a range of engaging and inclusive lessons across various sports and physical activities. You’ll encourage pupils to develop their physical abilities, confidence, and collaborative skills through structured teaching and extracurricular involvement.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Promote active participation, sportsmanship, and personal fitness among students.
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sports clubs and school competitions.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment during all physical activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and promote healthy lifestyles.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PE specialism or a related degree.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach PE across Key Stages.
  • Experience in leading or assisting with school sporting events is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
  • Passion for physical education and a commitment to student development.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
