Role Overview:
As an English Teacher, you will be expected to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire students and ignite a passion for literature and language. You will become part of a supportive department that encourages collaboration, innovation, and academic success.
Role Responsibilities:
- Teach English across Key Stages in line with the national curriculum.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to a wide range of learning needs.
- Track and evaluate student progress, offering tailored feedback.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute to departmental planning and school activities.
- Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and performance.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in English or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience teaching English with British curriculum.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
- A comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years (with any gaps clearly explained).
