Salary: £94 – £115 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. Your role will be to maintain classroom order, ensure pupils remain on task, and promote a positive learning environment in line with school policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned lessons.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupils stay focused and engaged.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and classroom activity.
  • Support students in their learning and promote a respectful, inclusive atmosphere.
  • Step into different subject areas as needed across the school day.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting is desirable.
  • Strong classroom presence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
  • A genuine interest in education and student development.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • The right to work in the UK and a full work history with two recent references.
