Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant (1:1 Support)
Location: Hull
Rate: £90 – £100 per day (based on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Hull is looking for a confident and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant (BSA) to work one-on-one with a pupil who requires additional behavioural support. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting difference in a young learner’s life.

The Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant in Hull, you’ll be instrumental in helping a student navigate behavioural difficulties and engage positively with their learning. Working closely with school staff and families, you’ll contribute to a structured and nurturing environment that promotes growth and success.

Key Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Assistant

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 behavioural support to a primary-aged pupil.
  • Apply consistent behaviour management techniques aligned with school policies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and parents to support the student’s development.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individual behaviour plans.
  • Use proactive strategies to de-escalate challenging situations.
  • Track and report on behavioural progress and incidents.
  • Encourage a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience supporting children with behavioural needs is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviour calmly and constructively.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to support.
  • Additional training in behaviour management or SEN is a plus, but not required.
