Job Title: KS1 (Key Stage 1) Classroom Teacher
Location: Hull
Pay Scale: £135 – £200 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

As a Key Stage 1 Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that align with the National Curriculum. You will foster a love of learning in your pupils, with a particular focus on phonics and early literacy. Your creativity and commitment will help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities of Key Stage 1 Classroom Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners in a Key Stage 1 classroom.
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.
  • Implement effective phonics teaching strategies to support early reading and writing development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements for Key Stage 1 Classroom Teacher:

  • A relevant degree in Primary Education or a related field, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with a strong understanding of phonics and early literacy.
  • Knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
