Rate: £90 - £104.94 per day (Depending on experience)

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) with a passion for supporting pupils in Upper Key Stage 2?

We are currently seeking a Year 6 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a vibrant primary school in Hull. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Upper KS2, particularly in preparing students for their SATs.

About the Role

As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant (TA) in Hull, you will play a key role in supporting pupils during a crucial stage of their education. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help deliver targeted interventions, assist with SATs preparation, and support students’ academic and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities of Year 6 Teaching Assistant (TA)

  • Provide focused 1:1 and small group support tailored to SATs preparation.
  • Assist with classroom activities and behaviour management.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to implement effective learning strategies.
  • Support pupils in developing study skills and exam techniques.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to staff and parents.
  • Work with external professionals where necessary to support pupil development.

Requirements of Year 6 Teaching Assistant (TA)

  • Previous experience supporting Upper KS2 pupils, ideally in Year 6.
  • A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs expectations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and supportive approach to learning.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education are desirable.
