Job Title: PPA Cover Teacher (KS1 & KS2)
Location: Hull
Pay Scale: £130 – £180 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated PPA Cover Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS1 and KS2 in a welcoming Hull primary school. This role is perfect for a teacher who enjoys variety and thrives in dynamic classroom environments.
About the Role:
As a PPA Cover Teacher in Hull, you will step into different classrooms to ensure continuity of learning during teachers' planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time. You’ll bring energy, creativity, and strong behaviour management to every lesson, supporting pupils’ academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities of PPA Cover Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS1 and KS2, aligned with the National Curriculum.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.
- Collaborate with class teachers and support staff to ensure smooth transitions and consistent learning.
- Use assessment strategies to monitor progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to foster a supportive school community.
Requirements for PPA Cover Teacher:
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience across KS1 and KS2.
- Demonstrate flexibility and confidence in managing different classroom settings.
- Have a solid understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
- Possess excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies.
- Be skilled in adapting lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
