Art Teacher
Location: Sheffield, S9
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

If so, GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher to work within secondary schools in Sheffield, starting from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are committed to delivering a vibrant and inclusive art curriculum.
As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, engaging, and inclusive lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. You’ll encourage students to explore a range of materials, techniques, and art movements while supporting their individual growth and passion for the arts.
Teacher of Art Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic and inclusive Art lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Foster creativity, independent thinking, and artistic skills across a range of media
- Encourage student engagement through practical projects and collaborative work
- Manage classroom behaviour positively and effectively
- Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations
- Maintain and display student artwork, creating a visually inspiring classroom environment
- Promote an appreciation for art, design, and culture
- Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and enrichment activities
- Participate in exhibitions, school events, and extracurricular activities
Art Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- A degree in Art, Fine Arts, Design, or a related subject
- Previous experience teaching Art in a UK secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A portfolio of personal or student work (preferred but not essential)
- Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
