Maths Teacher
Location: Sheffield, S9
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

Are you a passionate and committed Mathematics Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers?

GSL Education are currently seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to work across schools in the Sheffield area, starting from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to deliver exceptional Maths education.

As a Teacher of Maths, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons to students across Key Stages, helping them to develop strong mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills. You’ll encourage confidence in numeracy and ensure that all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential.

Mathematics Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
  • Plan lessons that are inclusive, challenging, and meet the needs of all learners
  • Use assessment to monitor and support student progress
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching strategies and schemes of work
  • Prepare students for GCSE and other relevant assessments
  • Inspire a love of numbers, logical thinking, and mathematical problem-solving
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its ethos

 Requirements for Maths Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Specialism in Mathematics or a related subject
  • Recent experience teaching Maths in UK secondary schools
  • Excellent communication, subject knowledge, and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to raising attainment and closing learning gaps
  • Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
